A 60-Second Reset That Saved My Morning
I didn’t wake up anxious — just wiped out.
Not overwhelmed, not panicked. Just tired in that heavy way where every thought starts with “you should…”
You should get up.
You should answer those messages.
You should be doing better by now.
No meltdown, just quiet pressure sitting on my chest.
I didn’t know what to do, so I stayed still and tried box breathing. Nothing fancy — just under the blanket:
- 4 seconds in
- 4 seconds hold
- 4 seconds out
- 4 seconds hold
Maybe one minute total.
It didn’t fix everything.
But it softened the noise in my head just enough to move.
Not because I suddenly felt motivated — just because I felt calm enough to start.
Sometimes that’s all it takes: one quiet minute to make getting up possible.
🕊️ One breath at a time.
